Learn more about our PLEXIGLAS® molding compounds with light-diffusing properties

Light-diffusing PLEXIGLAS® molding compounds are used as diffusor panels for luminaires and as parts for tail lights in the automotive industry. To make it easier for designers to select the right materials, we have put together all suitable specialty molding compounds in a new sample box.

Typical applications

  • interior and exterior lighting
  • illuminated buttons and switches
  • lighting elements for household appliances
  • optics with reduced light/dark contrast

PLEXIGLAS® molding compounds offer many possibilities to combine light with the desired functionality and the product. The Demo Tool for Diffusor Grades provides an overview of light-diffusing materials for try-out and learn more about the achivable effects. Depending on the way of illuminating an optical component the various grades of PLEXIGLAS® molding compounds lead to a different desired effect.
