Röhm donates 2,000 respiratory masks to medical facilities in Worms

• Masks are urgently needed by medical staff in hospitals and doctor's surgeries

In times of crisis, mutual support is needed, especially in the local community. Roehm did not hesitate and responded to a call for help from the city of Worms. Through its social media channels, the city had called on local companies to support the city's health facilities with urgently needed protective clothing, such as breathing masks. Respiratory masks have become a scarce commodity, as private individuals are currently buying them to protect themselves against infection against the coronavirus.

"The masks are urgently needed by medical staff in hospitals, doctor's surgeries and nursing homes to protect patients from possible germs," emphasizes Tobias Limbach, head of the company medical service in Worms. "They are part of the standard of hygiene there."

The so-called FFP2 protective masks will be donated equally to the Worms Hospital and the Wormser Gesundheitsnetz eG, an association of medical practices. Before making the donation, Roehm had thoroughly checked its own stock, as the masks are also needed to protect its own employees, for example during shutdown work or activities that generate dust.

"We are very pleased that Roehm has responded to our urgent call for support for our healthcare system, and we hope that other companies will follow this example," commented Worms' mayor Hans-Joachim Kosubek on the donation.
